JUDITH COHEN, Principal

After majoring in Art History and English Literature in college, I stepped into the art world as Assistant to the iconic Surrealist painter, Salvador Dali. I also edited the English translation of his cookbook from the French, Les Diners de Gala, and worked with his American publishers. Upon Dali’s return to Europe, I worked for an international art publisher as Sales Director. My evolution towards Interior Design was a natural one. After studying drawing and design at the School for Visual Arts and the New York School of Interior Design, I served as assistant to the well-known interior designers, Mario Buatta, Abbey Darer and Bill Crowder. JUDITH COHEN DESIGN was founded in 1986. My work has appeared in such publications as House Beautiful, Redbook, Woman’s Day, Home Ideas and Family Circle. Two children’s rooms are featured in the book, Rooms to Grow, Creating Rooms & Furniture for Children, by Jane Cornell.
